Thinkers360: What are your current responsibilities and what’s a typical day look like?
VB: I wake up early, exercising before it falls off a to-do list, spending quality time with my family, regularly networking over coffee, working on top-priority business projects, also working on a personal passion project and putting out 100 pieces of content daily across 8-10 social networks.
I work one-on-one with clients as a digital marketing coach and mentor. Having served thousands of businesses in the last 10 years, I know what it means to grow businesses. If they have a particular challenge that they want to help with, they can book a Skype consulting session with me, so I help them solve their problems as quickly as possible. I transform digital experiences that move brands forward and delivered transformation for leading and global emerging brands across multiple industries. I assist brands in understanding where customers are in the digital space and I bring my wealth of knowledge and experience in the social space to my clients. My keynote speeches bring brands more ideas, more new clients, and more sales. I’m also a startup advisor, serving several companies and being on the board of directors. I’ve helped the startups to go from zero to over 10,000 customers, 8,000 employees, and $100 million in revenue. Moreover, I’m an educator of entrepreneurship and marketing at the world’s top business schools. I’ve been all over the world to advise some of the world’s largest startups. I deliver a variety of training programs and grow businesses through effective marketing practices. I’m responsible for organizing training in London, Doha, Dubai, and other leading global locations. Thinkers360: What’s the favorite part of your current role?
VB: I spend time working on creating new opportunities and constantly focus on improving yesterday’s results. I create a strategic roadmap with my executive team, build accountability and transparency around the plans and expected results. I pay attention to my company’s culture, focusing on my people and solving the hardest business problems. It’s also essential to spend time reading, giving myself a break and time to relax and recharge.

Thinkers360: What are your current interest areas with regard to purpose-driven causes?
VB: I believe purpose-driven campaigns win long-term love in people’s hearts and minds. Purpose-driven brands are more authentic than cause-driven ones. In my view, companies should work hard to solve the big environmental challenges people care about. The majority of my clients are embracing a more purposeful approach to their work. People should organize events with a non-commercial mindset, whereas businesses are driven to make money and instead they should focus on strengthening communities and promoting unique messages. For example, Tesla has been outstanding when it comes to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Starbucks inspires and nurtures the human spirit, and Nike brings inspiration to every athlete in the world. Let’s improve the lives of individuals and solve global problems together.

Thinkers360: What’s your main advice for upcoming thought leaders?
VB: It takes time to become a thought leader. I believe thought leaders are problem solvers and they have a clear vision for what they want to achieve. Do your best to build your follower base and command attention. Post content actively across 8-10 social networks and never stop exploring. Always stay outside your comfort zone.
