Social videos feature a TV or movie personality. 15 seconds videos are used least, but they produce the best clickthrough rates in the social video space. 61+ seconds videos for half of all social video traffic, and they are the second most effective format after 15 seconds. Females dominate the social video space, while teenage users are on the rise. 63% of all videos views are from female users. 60% of watchers are between the ages of 18 and 44. 12-17 year-old user base has increased by 48% since the beginning of 2011. 3X social are more than three times as likely to interact with a brand. 40% social videos are notably effective in driving users to a brand's Facebook page. Social video programs deliver completion rates that are significantly higher than pre-roll.

Those with higher narcissism scores were frequently updating statuses, posting pictures of themselves and using quites or mottos to glorify themselves. Twitter – in a university of Michigan study of college undergraduates, it was found that those who scored higher in narcissism also posted more often on Twitter. Young people are using Twitter to broaden social circles and broadcast views. This usage leads people to over evaluate the importance of their opinions.

FedEx – advertise their speed and delivery accuracy more than you might think, and actually promote these factors it their logotype by hiding an arrow between the ‘E’ and the ‘X’.
Amazon – the yellow underlying arrow in the Amazon logotype points from the ‘A’ to the ‘Z’, which illustrates the sheer variety of products that online store sell. It’s also been shaped as a smile, which represents customer satisfaction.
Cisco was founded in San Francisco, which explains the name, but this is also referenced in their logo. The series of blue lines represent an electromagnet, but also symbolise San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Bullet points ruin presentations. When you use bullet points, you take away from your talent as a speaker and reduce your meeting on presentation to a read-aloud session. Bullets work great in reports and documents, but keeps them out of your presentations. PowerPoint is a great tool, but starting your presentation on the computer will only box you into the templates that Microsoft and your company has created. Instead, grab a couple of pieces of paper and stack of sticky notes. Treat each sticky note as a slide and write the overall idea of each slide needed on stick note.

17% increase in engagement rate compared to weekdays. Wednesday and Thursday are the days with the lowest rate of engagement. Percent of all brand tweets that are published on Saturday and Sunday. Tweets that are published 8AM and 7PM see a 30 percent increase in engagement rate over tweets published outside of that timeframe. This includes Saturday and Sunday. 64% of brands take advantage of this trend. 2X tweets with hashtags experience two times more engagement than tweets without hashtags. With only 24% of tweets containing a hashtag, most brands are not utilitizing this to increase engagement. 21% percent increase in engagement when using one or two hashtags. 17% decrease in engagement when uysing more than two hashtags. 99% of all brands do not ask their followers to retweet despire evidence showing that this call to action works. Asking followers to retweet is an easy and effective way to amplify your message.

Long ago, communication began with simple drawn imagery. Through the years, we’ve evolved to more complex forms of communication, and yet thanks to technology. We’ve shifted back to images as a method of communication. Telephone by Antonio Meucci, first demonstrated in NYC in 1860. Originally thought to be invented by Alexander Graham Bell, on March 10, 1876. Bell was the first one able to get a patent. He had access to Meucci’s materials. First telephone company opened in July 1877. By the end of the year, 3,000 telephones were in. The first coast-to-coast telephone line, from New York to San Francisco was operational in 1915. Soon after, systems were installed to connect the United States to other countries. By the end of the 1930’s, AT&T had 15 million phone lines in service. By 1971, there were 100 million phone lines in service. in 1998, entrepreneurs began to market PC-to-phone and phone-to-phone solutions with VoIP.
