Thinkers360: Tell us a bit about your background and areas of expertise.
EK: With over 30 years in the telecom and IT industry, I’ve had the opportunity to navigate the evolution of tech first-hand, from the early days of telecom to today’s dynamic digital landscape. My expertise spans a range of transformative technologies, including enterprise IT, cloud computing, AI, IoT, 5G, cybersecurity, and customer experience (CX). Over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation in helping brands leverage social media for audience engagement, community building, and establishing thought leadership. This journey has allowed me to work with industry leaders such as Intel, Microsoft, and Amazon AWS, crafting strategies that drive real-world results and innovation.
Thinkers360: What are your current responsibilities and what’s a typical day look like?
EK: My daily focus is split between content creation, engagement with my network, and collaborating with clients. I start my day by staying updated on the latest industry news and sharing insights across my social platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter. With an organic reach that spans millions, I focus on delivering content that resonates with my audience while reinforcing the narratives and objectives of the brands I work with. Meetings, live streams, and podcasting are a regular part of my day, often with leading figures in tech. There’s also a strong element of strategy, where I support clients in leveraging their social presence to build communities, boost engagement, and establish a thought leadership position.
Thinkers360: What’s the favorite part of your current role?
EK: The best part is the diversity of interactions – I get to work with a wide array of tech leaders, innovators, and influencers from around the globe. There’s a thrill in staying ahead of industry trends, sharing insights with my audience, and shaping the dialogue on transformative topics like AI, 5G, and digital health. Each day brings something new, and I enjoy being a bridge between tech companies and the audiences they want to reach, crafting narratives that resonate and drive engagement.

I work with brands to highlight their unique stories in ways that are relevant and valuable to the audience – whether it’s through social media, live streaming, or other channels. It’s about co-creating content that aligns with their vision while drawing on my expertise to connect with their target market authentically. I enjoy partnerships that are collaborative, where we work together to deliver insights and stories that help drive brand awareness and thought leadership.
Thinkers360: What’s your main advice for upcoming thought leaders?
EK: Consistency and authenticity are key. Establishing thought leadership doesn’t happen overnight; it’s about consistently showing up, sharing valuable insights, and engaging with your audience. Focus on your niche, understand what your audience cares about, and be willing to adapt and learn continuously. Social media is powerful, but it’s also about building genuine relationships and establishing credibility. For those new to the space, don’t be afraid to take risks with content and experiment to see what resonates best. And above all, stay curious—this field evolves quickly, and staying on top of trends and insights is vital to staying relevant.
