Thinkers360: Tell us a bit about your background and areas of expertise
SR: My background sits at the intersection of HealthTech, leadership, and design thinking.
I’m a four-time founder and scale-up operator with more than 15 years’ experience building and growing ventures across the UK, Europe and Africa. I’ve scaled businesses to £10M+ ARR, led international expansion, secured enterprise and government partnerships, and operated in highly regulated environments where execution and credibility really matter.
My work has been shaped by both professional and personal experience. My father’s preventable death became a defining moment and the reason I committed my career to reshaping healthcare to be more proactive, ethical and human. Since then, I’ve focused on building systems that don’t just innovate technically, but actually improve outcomes in the real world.
Today, my expertise centers on HealthTech and Impact ventures that are scaling, UK market entry, founder leadership under complexity, and the systems required to translate innovation into adoption. I spend a lot of time thinking about the gaps between data and behavior, technology and outcomes, and ambition and sustainability, particularly in preventative health, longevity and impact.
Thinkers360: What are your current responsibilities and what does a typical day look like?
SR: I lead Well Purposed, a strategic advisory studio working with post–Series A HealthTech and Impact founders and leadership teams. My role spans strategic advisory, fractional executive support, ecosystem navigation and thought leadership.
A typical day might include:
- working directly with founders on strategy, priorities and decision-making
- advising international companies on UK market entry
- supporting leadership teams under scale pressure
- preparing thought leadership content and long-form writing
- speaking with investors, partners or media about trends shaping HealthTech
No two days look the same, but the common thread is helping people make clearer decisions under complexity and building systems that allow scale without burnout.
Thinkers360: What’s your favorite part of your current role?
SR: The moment when clarity clicks into place. It’s a lightbulb moment for the client. There’s something powerful about watching a founder move from reactive, overloaded thinking to calm, structured decision-making. Often, nothing external has changed, but the system they’re operating inside has.
I also deeply enjoy bridging worlds: translating between founders, clinicians, investors. Helping people navigate them well is incredibly rewarding.
Thinkers360: How do you utilize Thinkers360?

SR: I’m selective and values-led in how I work with brands. I’m most effective when partnerships are built around:
- long-term thinking rather than one-off promotion
- intellectual contribution, not just visibility
- honesty about trade-offs and constraints
- a genuine commitment to impact and adoption
Whether it’s advisory work, speaking, writing or collaboration, I want to engage in ways that add depth and clarity, not surface-level endorsement. The best partnerships feel like a shared exploration of complex or common problems, rather than a marketing exercise.
Thinkers360: What’s your main advice for upcoming thought leaders?
SR: Don’t rush to be visible before you’re useful. The most credible thought leaders I know didn’t start by trying to build an audience. They started by doing hard things well, reflecting on them honestly, and sharing insights that others recognized as true. Anchor your thinking in lived experience, resisting the pressure to oversimplify. And remember that trust compounds much more slowly, and far more powerfully, than attention.
If you focus on substance first, influence follows.
