Thinkers360: Tell us a bit about your background and areas of expertise
LG: Well, I have always enjoyed doing activities that required ingenuity, challenging myself and discovering new things. Thus I chose to become an engineer; and after getting a master’s degree with honors, I started my business path combining technology and engineering doctrine. Now I’m COO at Digital Business Innovation, an Italian company active in the world of consulting, and my mission is project management in the field of the so-called digital transformation, harnessing the power of the emerging technologies such as AI, 5G, IoT and so on… through both operational and strategic approach. Furthermore, I collaborate with global brands as a B2B influencer, raising awareness on thought leadership.
Thinkers360: What are your current responsibilities and what’s a typical day look like?
LG: Working as a C-level certainly involves lots of responsibilities within the company. You need to manage different aspects, do your best to reach high performances – optimizing time and cost – and coordinate the pieces of the puzzle so they can fit together. My days are pretty lively; I’m always on the go, and sometimes 24 hours are not enough to do everything. However, at the end of the day I feel grateful for what I have.
Thinkers360: What’s the favorite part of your current role?
LG: My life motivation is to always do better and never stop learning. I do believe that adopting an open mind strategy is crucial to survive in an evolving world forged by the paradigm shift of digital transformation. Innovation fascinates me, and I enjoy finding out how emerging technologies can be applied. And that’s actually the favorite part of my job – dealing with projects in different fields, from Artificial Intelligence applied in Healthcare to Internet of Things applied in Automotive, and helping companies thrive in a revolutionary future.
Thinkers360: How do you utilize Thinkers360?
LG: Thinkers360 is a very interesting community to connect with thought leaders and global brands. I find it useful to showcase expertise and keep up with the latest topics. Moreover… the lists are amazing, especially the ones about women!

Thinkers360: How do you like to work with brands who wish to engage you as a thought leader?
LG: Collaboration is the key – my partnership with brands is mainly based on mutual trust, which means that we work together to deliver a successful communication strategy and get the desired KPIs. Leveraging influencers’ expertise can give an incredible added value to organisations, and there are many possible activities to do regarding content co-creation: from webinar to video interview, passing through social campaigns, blog articles, Twitter chat, podcast and much more. Usually, always-on projects are far more successful for both influencers and brands compared with one-off projects.
Thinkers360: What’s your main advice for upcoming thought leaders?
LG: Today we’re living in a globalized world where there are powerful tools not only to acquire knowledge but also to spread it with other people. And that’s what thought leaders need to do. My main advice for the upcoming generation is – share a bit of yourself with your audience; and if you do it with love, they will love you.
