Thinkers360: Tell us a bit about your background and areas of expertise.
KK: My background combines artificial intelligence and robotics, engineering business management, and global health management. That mix is intentional. The most consequential AI decisions happen where technology, business strategy, and human factors collide, and I’ve found that being fluent across all three gives you a perspective that living inside just one never does.
I’m the Principal Consultant at Straven & Co, where I focus on AI validation in healthcare and regulated industries. The work is about helping organisations evaluate whether what they’re being told about AI matches what the evidence actually supports. In a market where confidence often moves faster than proof, that kind of independent perspective has become essential.
Thinkers360: What’s the favorite part of your current role?
KK: The moment a client sees something clearly for the first time. Not because the information wasn’t available before, but because nobody had taken the time to cut through the noise and lay it out honestly. That shift from uncertainty to clarity is what makes this work meaningful.
I also enjoy the intellectual challenge. Every engagement is a different puzzle with different pressures, different stakeholders, and different assumptions that need testing. The work never becomes routine because the problems never repeat in exactly the same way.

KK:Thinkers360 gives me access to perspectives outside of healthcare, which is where some of the most useful thinking comes from. The challenges organisations face with AI adoption are not unique to one industry. The patterns show up in finance, manufacturing, public services, and beyond. Being part of a community that surfaces insight across sectors helps me stay sharp and think more broadly about the problems I work on.
I also use it as a place to contribute. If something I’ve learned through my work can help someone else make a better decision, that’s worth sharing.
Thinkers360: What’s your main advice for upcoming thought leaders?
KK: Find the thing that keeps you up at night. The problem you can’t stop thinking about, the gap you keep noticing that others walk past. That’s where your thought leadership lives. When your work comes from genuine passion, it carries a weight that people recognise and trust.
Stay true to that. Let your curiosity lead you, let your work speak through you, and the audience and credibility will grow alongside it. That authenticity is what separates a thought leader from the crowd.
