Learning Trends 2023
Life, Leadership, and Business
January 17, 2023
A brand-new year, looming economic slowdown, and redefined notion of work – what are the learning trends that will influence this evolving landscape 2023? It doesn’t matter where you work from and what you work on, being a lifelong learner is critical to succeed in today’s world.
Trends 2023
Life, Leadership, and Business
December 13, 2022
This month, I am picking up from my last month’s newsletter where I shared 2030 megatrends. In this last month of year 2022, I share top 2023 technology, business, and leadership trends.
Megatrends 2030
Life, Leadership, and Business
November 21, 2022
This month, I have been busy with various keynotes and speaking engagements like the CXO event sponsored by Boomi where digital transformation, Data, AI, automation, and middleware modernization have been key themes. At these keynotes, I touched upon the 2030 megatrends and this month I will share top megatrends that I think will shape our future. Note that all these megatrends are interrelated and help shape the long-term strategic direction for businesses.

I just got back from Australia. Touched 3 cities (Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane) in 4 days and spent another 4 days in travel. DEI is Everyone's business
LinkedIn
February 10, 2022
In this month's newsletter, I dive deeper into one of the Top Trends of 2022 that I shared in my January newsletter - DEI initiatives will no longer be optional and share actionable steps to address this.
Companies know that building a culture of diversity and inclusion is not just the right thing to do but also the smart thing to do. A recent McKinsey study, conducted on more than 1,000 companies in 15 countries, found that companies with gender-diverse executive teams were 25% more likely to outperform financially. And if there was ethnic or cultural diversity among executives in the company, the likelihood of outperforming increased by 36%.
Almost all companies have been running DEI programs for some time now, but the reality is that for most companies these programs haven’t changed the way they think and the way they operate as businesses.
As we celebrate Black History month, let's move beyond lip service and take action.
I invite you to be part of this conversation and share your thoughts.

It is almost two years since Vineet Whig left us…Like many of his mentees, his leaving this world was a shock for me. His death made me realize that I needed to live a life of purpose, for myself, for my family, and my friends. I asked myself the question, “what would Vineet do?” and the answer was right there. Vineet would start by reading, by researching. I still remember him talking about the books that he was reading in spite of his 20 hr days at work. So I read and researched and found my mojo in practicing mindfulness. I started practicing mindfulness 2 years ago, made significant changes in my personal and professional life to bring congruence between inner and outer world. The power of positivity is huge. When you start opening your eyes to it, happy encounters happen.

We all know that a robust training strategy plays an integral role in driving the success of an organization. In spite of this, in my career of over 15 years, I have spent quite a bit of time explaining that training strategy is not a bunch of power points/ videos thrown together to make a “training” for field and customers. There is a lot more that goes into putting together a training strategy. Infact, it is very similar to what engineering teams do to put a product strategy is place.

"As we move into the distributed work from anywhere era, we will see businesses leveraging technologies like Metaverse to drive employee engagement and business initiatives. Cybersecurity will continue to be top of mind for organizations and treating data as a product will become critical for the success of the organizations. But most importantly, how we lead is going to evolve- keeping people in the center of every strategic initiative, leading with empathy and designing a culture that allows people to bring their whole self to work will define the future of the organizations. We will see diversity and culture become a key CEO initiative."
