BREAK OUT
ZABURI PUBLISHERS
November 22, 2019
Growing up is a process. No one is born fully grown. Everyone comes into the world as an infant and progresses through different developmental stages until you reach adulthood. The same is true when you become a born-again Christian. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are a spiritual baby in Christ, and you must learn to grow in the ways of God.

In this book, Break - Out, Ang’ana Gilbert shows you how anyone can go through the stages of Kingdom growth in their own way and at their own time by breaking out of the struggle. Ang’ana spent time over the years knowing that God existed but still juggling with the thought of what it would be like to have grown up with no relationship with God. But in contrast, He is now sharing an amazing conversion experience, complete with a story of God’s revelation to him. He longed for his story to go out to the world and also help other people. This book reflects on the lessons he has learned & taken from the last 3 decades and how they are shaping his future in the Kingdom.

March 23, 2022
Having a systematic approach to dealing with the transition or transformation of an organization's goals, processes or technologies is one of the most important aspects of bringing out change. People that successfully help organisations and individuals do so are Change Management leaders. Enveloped under its purview are the processes, tools and techniques used to manage organization-wide change, including planning, implementing, and verifying the effectiveness of it. Executing change is challenging, and requires clarity of purpose, cooperation, and communication across those that hold the highest stakes.

All metrics like achievements, followership, online influence, news mentions, were based on what the individual has done within the past year. We feel this truly measures the impact of a leader, by making sure all efforts are up-to-date.

Leadership Credibility: A Holistic Exploration on the Making of Credible Leaders
International Journal of Management Studies and Social Science Research
March 18, 2022
What makes credible leaders?" While there is extant literature on credible leadership, there is insufficient literature that addresses the holistic exploration on the making of credible leaders to understand how everyday perceived effective credible leaders engage, interact and act to sustain their credibility. This study aimed to explore the experiences of perceived credible leaders to holistically understand their perceptions and experiences. The study employed a qualitative group interview method (n = 3; 1 woman). Data were analyzed using the constructivist grounded theory. Findings indicated that credible leadership development is an extension of the moral self of the leader. Other critical elements highlighted that form the dimensions of the making of credible leaders entail having resilience, competence, and building others. This study gives a new perspective of moral self as an antecedent to credible leadership. Further confirmatory empirical research should be conducted to deepen the understanding of the perspective of the moral self as an antecedent to credible leadership.

Collaborative Leadership in an Organizational Context: A Research Agenda
Journal of Human Resource & Leadership
March 11, 2022
Organizations not only exist to make a profit and be financially sustainable but also to make a
difference and have a meaningful legacy using specific business models adopted. To achieve
that outcome organizations must establish effective authority relationships to work together
efficiently. This is what entails collaborative relationships and leadership. The literature on
collaborative leadership despite having significant developments over the last two decades has
been faulted. There have been vast perspectives from scholars with minimal consensus on what
constitutes acceptable dimensions of collaborative leadership and how that fits in an
organizational context. These misalignments have resulted in challenges to the full realization
of the benefits of collaborative leadership as a result of its skewed implementation and
application in an organizational context. The result is a lack of appreciation and belief by
business practitioners and organization leaders on the implications of collaborative leadership
application on their organization’s financial sustainability. This effect goes deeper in that
organization leaders are not very clear on the impact of their organization's business model and
their role in facilitating successful collaborative leadership. This conceptual paper aimed to
bridge that gap by reviewing and integrating extant conceptual, theoretical, and empirical
literature on collaborative leadership and present a case for the development of a new
theoretical model suitable for the expansion of the current understanding of deployment of
collaborative leadership in an organizational context. The paper reviewed 397 articles from
various journals, which were searched through the google search engine. 132 articles were
finally used in the development of this paper sieved by the year of publication from 2001-2021.
The findings lead to the development of a proposed and integrated conceptual framework
model linking collaborative leadership to financial sustainability as an organizational outcome
while acknowledging the significance of the role played by the organization’s business model
and top echelon support in the relationship. Several propositions are presented for consideration
and validation through empirical work. The study calls on future research to consider the
adoption of the proposed model in extending research on leadership to new frontiers.

Sustaining Credible Leadership in Organizations
Journal of Human Resource & Leadership
November 19, 2021
The mainstream media in Kenya, Africa, and the world is full of scandalous information that questions the credibility of leaders who were thought to be effective. This is observable across all organization sectors from the religious, public sector, political and even the private sector and includes such practices as corruption, manipulation of data and financial information, leadership wrangles, sexual harassment, among other such accusations of sexual misconduct which touches on prominent and perceived effective leaders. This has brought about severe gaps in leadership credibility. This literature review study examines the construct leader’s credibility in the context of credible leadership. Discussions focus on the development of credible leadership and the practices that are critical for leaders to build and sustain credibility and authenticity based on literature from the last two decades. The two perspectives of practices described are trustworthiness and competence which provide significant applications for leaders in the current dynamic organization context. The Impact of Collaborative Leadership on Urban Church influence in Africa
IOSR Journal of Humanities And Social Science (IOSR-JHSS
September 17, 2021
Over the past few decades, urban cities of Africa have experienced a rise in social, economic, political challenges. Poverty, hunger, ill-health, terrorism, political unrest, and violence are some of the issues still rampant in many African cities even today. Collaborative leadership entails bringing urban churches and other pertinent stakeholders together in collectively addressing the issues facing urban cities of Africa. In this article, we conduct a qualitative systematic review of the existing literature on collaborative leadership and church influence in Africa to elaborate on a theological model on urban church influence. After reviewing several journals articles, books, and pertinent non-journaled cases of collaborative leadership in the context of the urban church in Africa, we identify critical collaborative leadership practices necessary for urban churches in Africa to have successful influence and be a pertinent player in defining and resolving Africa's urban challenges. These practices include shared control and power, leadership development, and the discipleship experience. We also identify a series of collaborative leadership benefits that are crucial in urban churches in Africa. These benefits include a greater sense of diversity, solidarity, inspiration, and collective strengths. The article concludes with a discussion of the implications of adopting collaborative leadership principles for church leaders and practitioners in the context of urban church influence in Africa

Collaborative Leadership and its Influence in Building and Sustaining Successful Cross-Functional Relationships in Organizations in Kenya
OSR Journal of Business and Management (IOSR-JBM)
August 13, 2021
Due to the current business and workplace complexities caused by the pandemic and diverse competition in the marketplace, organizations today are faced with many challenges more so in developing concerted shared values to get the most out of their employees and stakeholders more than ever before. This paper aims to investigate the influence of collaborative leadership in building and sustaining cross-functional relationships in organizations in Kenya by critically reviewing, integrating, and summarizing the theories and models within collaborative leadership. These theories play a significant role in developing the understanding of how organizations can successfully create interpersonal relationships and cross-functional collaborations. This interpretive, hermeneutic qualitative paper reviews and discusses three major theories and models that relate to collaborative leadership practice based on secondary data to deduce collaborative leadership principles relevant for organizations. The study reviewed articles ranging from the year 2000 to date from seven leadership journals with search criteria as collaborative leadership, and collaborative theories. The three theories highlighted are, the Three Needs Theory, the Theory of Negotiated Order, and the Clear Leadership Model. The study proposes three critical collaborative leadership dimensions that aim to help organization leaders be successful in developing cross-functional collaborative relationships and partnerships: leading self, dedication to the "we", and authentic engagement. The study also highlights that leaders must be able to facilitate productive relationships between employees by listening, understanding their impact, and have an open-minded attitude; handle the complexity of partnerships of different levels with ease, and have the patience to deal with very high levels of frustration by taking calm approach. This study highlights that if collaborative principles deduced from the theories and models are well understood, assimilated, and applied by leaders, their organizations would build solid cross-functional collaborative governance structures, establish clear operations and behaviors that will result in successful partnerships and collaborations at all levels.

4 Keys to Liberate your Leadership
Accent Leadership Group YouTube Channel
April 05, 2022
There are many leaders who do not have balance in their personal, family, work & community.

There are also leaders who have not known, understood their purpose, and therefore lead without a sense of purpose.

Worse is the fact that there are leaders who do not have both balance & purpose either unconsciously or consciously. They lead by the day and they take a day at a time.

The reality is they are hurting their people, community, family, and more so themselves in the long run.

A Liberated Leader is one who finds balance in living their sense of purpose.
