Artificial Intelligence for the next era
I want to highlight my points about the lack of consideration of AI impacts, which should shape strategies, organisational development, management, and adaptation to adopt any kind of future AI utilisation. These points come from takeaways related to an interview of Sam Altman, CEO of Open.AI and personal comments on Linkedin about an imbalanced view of AI and now Auto-GPT, (excitement) with a full lack of awareness about impacts on Business and in special way, Business continuity including Growth Auto-GPT introduction should increase awareness , critical and strategical skills of Leaders and Management in evaluating what is a real investment to get a ROI and at the same time to be solid in the strategic moves in the future. Takeaways from 4th Roundtable "COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES AND NEW MANAGEMENT METHODS"
RSS feeds WordPress
April 08, 2023
The fourth roundtable aimed to discuss the roadblocks and challenges that prevent companies from becoming agile, undergoing digital transformation, or both. Meaningful discussions about Motivation, Values and Leadership Hierarchical Levels and their reduction, Technology and Culture.

We also hold out of the agenda a mock Board meeting.to vote, what priority should be for a company: becoming agile or starting with a digital transformation?

This experience showed that diverse perspectives with different viewpoints may lead to more informed, all-around decisions. Better problem-solving can be expected, as different perspectives can help produce better solutions through open and honest discussion. Diversity of opinions can also stimulate the consideration of all stakeholders’ interests.

It has also shown that the decision to make about a strategic approach could be an obstacle to unblocking status-quo situations. Different perspectives, as in our case, can create difficulties in reaching a consensus or satisfying everyone delaying and slowing a decision-making process

My satisfaction is based on the fact that the guests’ reasons for attending were those I was expecting: learning new things, satisfying their curiosity, meeting new people, and getting different points of view. And that we pulled out other block roads, which could prevent do-something about new management models.

Culture and people-centric based activities to overcome challenges to upskill or reskill employees
RSS feeds WordPress
March 06, 2023
Starting point: Hiring and talent scarcity suggest to think about re-skilling or upskilling employees.

Where does this problem start? From the lack of a learning culture. The challenges are many but we follow a seminal predictive author like Peter Senge, who in 1990 (!) spoke about why companies need to become learning organisations: to realise the organisational and personal potential, where employees learn and grow collaboratively. Senge was already focused on culture, including vision, values, and integrity and a system thinking for” dynamics complexity”.

We speak about other modern issues related to be able to consider both employees needs for learning career perspectives, (root cause of the Great resignation) and we highlight the strategies to match employees and companies' needs when speaking about reskill and upskill.

What is the role of Culture here?

Competitive Advantages with New Management approaches- Takeaways from a Roundtable
RSS feeds WordPress
February 17, 2023
The first edition has centred the original goal on letting guests sharing ideas, opinions doubts and proposals about how to enhance classic Competitive Advantages (CAs) regrouped in high-level groups and how to achieve the new ones.

In addition, keeping away Jargon and buzzwords (to the best of my capabilities) was successful.

Lesson learned: less is better
I have reconsidered the optimal number of attendees: 6 + me (instead of 8-10.) because:
1. It is more intimate.
2. As when starting from a question, thoughts unfold progressively (critical reflection)
3. Thus, there is more time to discuss and express new concerns, doubts, experiences, and ideas.

Question raised were:
*How do we achieve the new CAs?
:* where do you start to prepare the ground and act?

Meaningful views, comments and further questions were raised by the Guests mainly about this topics & sub-topics:
Leadership
Delegation
Leadership-Culture
Knowing your company’s culture
Listening.
Personalities
The points above are referred to "How can we change something we are unaware of?"
3 minutes reading will give more content to reflect about.

RPA Business Case (1-part): Direct and indirect net-benefits -Considering transformations

One of most relevant tool to enable decision-making about RPA, is the Business case.
Compared to the classic templates and adaptations, what often does not emerge is the holistic consideration of what we can call Indirect net benefits, the net benefits of People-centric approach, and the time when a firm can reap these indirect net benefits.

In a business case these factors have the role of mediators of the direct costs and benefits which as they are mentioned now, can reveal themselves misleading.

What is your people centric level to get the adoption of digital tech?
RSS feeds WordPress
January 08, 2023
Adapting to a disruptive and rapidly changing business environment requires careful consideration of stakeholders’ behaviour. It emerges from a wide range of research that most technological introductions follow a process known as task orientation. An organisation’s behaviour can be seen as a result of its people orientation.

PEOPLES focuses on individual cause-and-effect logic, not maturity levels since every company is unique. We think that having statistical data about root causes and effects will not help leaders move forward when talking about People-centric.

Ask yourself: How people-centric is your company ready? What are the risks that you can mitigate or better remove?

2. The human-centred design promotes buy-in and improves technology’s efficiency and effectiveness
3. Design help to mitigate the unbalanced relationship between processes’ efficiency and normalisation ( flexibility and future adaptation to a changing business environment

People-centred culture. ” We make people before we make cars” -Toyota

November 22, 2022
We think that a common pillar that is the baseline for all the transformational and Business continuity activities, is to have a people-centred culture.

We believe that cultural changes happen when the new company’s roles can support change behaviours.

We also believe that accomplishing a cultural change is not Leaders’ responsibility. Instead, it is their job to help change the culture by developing everyone in a well-ordered manner (with a process).

To uniform the needs and the capabilities of a company for having an appropriate culture, We have created, tested and utilised ourP EOPLES framework for a People-centred culture
PEOPLES framework is the Transforage appraisal of Leadership, Innovation and adaptation, culture, and Change capabilities with an integrated view of alignments or misalignments to help the top to reflect and learn and proceed further supporting people in their learning looking at Digital transformation, Enterprise agility, Resilience building.

April 23, 2022
In my previous article, “Is Digital Transformation (DX) an opportunity for Management Consultants with SMEs?” published in the January edition of this Newsletter, I provided some evidence that shows how the failure rates of digital transformation are linked to the concept of ‘technology fallacy’, defined as the assumption that the challenges created to business by technology can be only solved by technology itself. I also showed how DX is a viable service for management consultants.

March 25, 2022
During the last years, we have seen that technology moved from an introduction into the market to Hype with a lot of advertising about successful stories but also a critical percentage of failures.
it can be said that for many companies, regardless of the size, there is disillusionment about Digital Transformation in terms of supporting business strategies with a more limited level of risk.

Well, now is the time to be aware that new supportive technology is available, and new approaches for transformation change are possible.

Where are you in the awareness stages of DT, and what adopter are you?

RSs feeds
March 14, 2022
Digital transformation is claimed to be risky because technology is seen as predominant over culture and people and lacks a proper strategy or is wrongly transferred and disconnection from the company's Business strategy and goals.

What's new?
It could be considered as the Columbus egg from Tech.
Low or No-code are not new technology, but it is not spread already.
Employees can customise and personalise many applications in the Digital world under a controlled IT environment.
There are impressive benefits for what is related to Culture, Change, and Engagement allowing a hybrid approach to Transformation: Top-down and Bottom-up.

Low and No code Digital applications

Date : September 14, 2022

Building applications with no-code platforms have become increasingly popular because they are fast, cheap, and virtually dependent on no-coding skills. Digitalisation's future is firmly anchored in no-code technology today.
It is becoming increasingly common for end-users to develop their applications without relying on coders; a lack of coders’ resources and skill sets are further contributing to this.

Currently, there is no standard for what qualifies as a no-code platform. No-code platforms still need some time to replace core systems, becoming the only way applications are developed. Coding will only be needed to create and enhance no-code platforms. Digitalisation is likely to be costly for businesses that ignore the no-code wave compared to their peers.
