RPA Business Case (1-part): Direct and indirect net-benefits -Considering transformations
RSS feeds WordPress
January 20, 2023
One of most relevant tool to enable decision-making about RPA, is the Business case.
Compared to the classic templates and adaptations, what often does not emerge is the holistic consideration of what we can call Indirect net benefits, the net benefits of People-centric approach, and the time when a firm can reap these indirect net benefits.
In a business case these factors have the role of mediators of the direct costs and benefits which as they are mentioned now, can reveal themselves misleading.
This is the first part of RPA business case .

This post tries to understand the mismatch between firms, new management solutions, and business environment reality. I perceive some factors that create an unsafe situation of “doing nothing”. And, being a curious person, I decided to investigate directly. There are two sides to investigate: experts who can support firms and the firms themselves.
What are the first findings?

What is your people centric level to get the adoption of digital tech?
RSS feeds WordPress
January 08, 2023
Adapting to a disruptive and rapidly changing business environment requires careful consideration of stakeholders’ behaviour. It emerges from a wide range of research that most technological introductions follow a process known as task orientation. An organisation’s behaviour can be seen as a result of its people orientation.
PEOPLES focuses on individual cause-and-effect logic, not maturity levels since every company is unique. We think that having statistical data about root causes and effects will not help leaders move forward when talking about People-centric.
Ask yourself: How people-centric is your company ready? What are the risks that you can mitigate or better remove?

Struggling to adapt to continuous changes in business environment: old-fashioned management style, or unmanageable disruption?
RSS feeds WordPress
December 28, 2022
In the recent past it emerged the failure of the current hierarchical and bureaucratic management model with incapability to fully react and adapt as a normalisation process to the new business environment.
People have been the most evident failure of this model including great resignation and quite quitting; on the other side we need to give justice to current management educated and grown in these environments which were fine before the last disruptions ( COVID, technology).
it is not easy to embrace radical changes while there is focus only on getting things done using what is in the culture and practice in that moment.
Is is the case to design a transitional period ? Yes, Transitional model looking forward to the final goals of an effective management innovation model.

Human-machines (bots) Interaction Design: Why so crucial for TECH effectiveness and Culture?
RSS feeds WordPress
December 26, 2022
There are some points which must be considered in promoting Human-Automation (PRA) Design:
1. The present integration levels between people and automation at work can be summarised in an imbalanced low knowledge level for automation and a juvenile enthusiasm for technology.
2. The human-centred design promotes buy-in and improves technology’s efficiency and effectiveness
3. Design help to mitigate the unbalanced relationship between processes’ efficiency and normalisation ( flexibility and future adaptation to a changing business environment
4. Scalability needs and opportunities: it is the consequence of point 3.
Without forgetting the impact on Business culture related to Human-centric approaches, flexibility values supporting change and innovation to be coherent with company culture and, finally, Learning and experimentation culture elements

People-centred culture. ” We make people before we make cars” -Toyota
RSS feed from WordPress
November 22, 2022
We think that a common pillar that is the baseline for all the transformational and Business continuity activities, is to have a people-centred culture.
We believe that cultural changes happen when the new company’s roles can support change behaviours.
We also believe that accomplishing a cultural change is not Leaders’ responsibility. Instead, it is their job to help change the culture by developing everyone in a well-ordered manner (with a process).
To uniform the needs and the capabilities of a company for having an appropriate culture, We have created, tested and utilised ourP EOPLES framework for a People-centred culture
PEOPLES framework is the Transforage appraisal of Leadership, Innovation and adaptation, culture, and Change capabilities with an integrated view of alignments or misalignments to help the top to reflect and learn and proceed further supporting people in their learning looking at Digital transformation, Enterprise agility, Resilience building.

I also showed how DX is a viable service for management consultants.
