Caitlyn Lewis

Founder and Managing Director at Supplier Day

London, United Kingdom

As an MBA candidate, I discovered a passion and fascination for how large businesses innovate. I have written my dissertation on the emergence of ecosystem organisations that I am expanding into a book to make the case for ecosystems as a strategic imperative and offers practical guidance for businesses wanting to design their own.

I am founder and Managing Director of Supplier Day. We help companies run outstanding virtual supplier events to align growth, innovation & sustainability strategies with their partners, suppliers and startups. Supplier Day is backed by Alex Martinez and Mark Perera, founders of Procurement Leaders.

I host a podcast, Mission: Innovation. I interview experts from different schools of thought to explore what innovation really means, and what it really looks like in different organisations, to help listeners identify what tactics are important for their business.

The Decade of Delivery
LinkedIn
May 04, 2021
We’ve all had to adapt over the past 12 months, not least those who have had to combine their day job with Secondary School maths and Primary School art classes.

In short, life has been no picnic but what it has done is given us food for thought - and reminded us all just how important the fundamental skill of communication is.

That’s true regardless of whether you’re trying to get your head around trigonometry before your first coffee of the day, or attempting to seamlessly integrate innovation into your supply chain ecosystem.

Supplier days are your lightning bolt
LinkedIn
February 21, 2021
I am well versed in the idea that what you measure influences performance. Linking executive compensation to meeting Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) goals is becoming a practice adopted by several leading companies. Amongst the most recent: VW, Deutsche Bank and Apple. At VW, ESG criteria will be integrated into bonus calculations for the management board. Deutsche Bank will tie the salaries of its supervisory and management boards members to sustainability criteria. And Apple is introducing an ESG modifier that will be incorporated into their incentive scheme.
