AI IN EDUCATION - THE URGENCY OF THE NOW: Real-world applications, challenges, and lessons for educators
Independently published
September 19, 2025
Artificial Intelligence is already in classrooms and universities worldwide. The real question is not if AI belongs in higher education, but how educators and institutions can guide its use to reshape teaching and learning for the better.
This book brings together 15 real-world cases of AI in higher education, with contributions from leading scholars across Europe, Asia, and North America. These chapters document what is happening now: successes, failures, and lessons learned.
Organized around five key themes—strategic integration, innovative pedagogy, student engagement, experiential learning, and assessment—the book offers practical, low-risk, high-impact practices that can be adapted in any course or program.
Inside you will discover how:

Students become co-creators of learning, building their own AI tutors, chatbots, and learning agents.
Faculty redesign teaching practices using generative AI for role-play, simulations, and interactive engagement.

AI literacy is embedded into curricula, aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy and the UNESCO AI Competency Framework.

Assessment and feedback evolve with AI-powered peer review, formative feedback engines, and autonomous agents for scalable competency evaluation.

Executive and lifelong learning benefit from AI coaching experiments that foster reflection, skills development, and professional growth.

Institutional strategies address governance, ethics, and trust while mitigating risks such as bias, over-reliance, and cognitive deskilling.

The message is clear: AI will not replace educators, it will amplify them. Artificial intelligence becomes a partner, while faculty remain leaders, guiding its ethical and creative use to empower students for the AI-enabled world of work.
Ideal for professors, instructional designers, academic leaders, and policymakers, this book provides both inspiration and actionable insights for anyone ready to experiment, reflect, and shape the future of education.

Who Wants To Learn Forever
Bocconi University Press
September 01, 2025
The book introduces a comprehensive discussion about the evolution of education, particularly examining the relationship between traditional and online learning methods. Rather than positioning these approaches as competitors, the author suggests they serve different purposes and can work complementarily, with each offering unique advantages depending on the specific context and learning objectives. The author presents a book that delves into crucial questions about education’ s future, with continuous learning at its core as a response to ongoing societal and technological transformations. The book explores several critical themes, including the interplay between traditional and online education, the emerging skills needed for the future, the significant influence of Generation Z on educational practices, technology’ s role, and the establishment of a continuous learning culture. The work is organized into six main chapters, complemented by four detailed focus areas, which examine the major changes affecting higher education and their implications for the future.

Team management
Bocconi University Press
October 01, 2022
Collaboration and teamwork are the keystones of organizational life. Managing a team requires specific competencies, the outcomes of a process of informed learning based on critical analysis not only of organizational successes, but failures as well. This book provides the tools, the methodology, and the guiding principles to support the people who work in teams as members and as leaders. The main issues inherent to team management are addressed by following a problem-based approach, with the aim of facilitating the achievement of team objectives. The authors encourage readers to reflect on the daily challenges of working on a team, and show how to lay the foundations for building a synergetic team: correctly structuring the team, assigning responsibilities, resolving conflicts, and managing decisions and meetings to optimize negotiation processes. The book also explores the advantages and obstacles to running geographically dispersed teams. Completing each chapter is an interview with an expert who offers answers to the myriad questions that team leaders have to ask themselves to be able to manage their teams with intelligence and common sense.

Management Education and Digital Technology: Choices for Strategy and Innovation
Routledge
April 07, 2022
A question pondered throughout this chapter is to what extent the present acceleration in the adoption of educational technology (EdTech) will result in enduring new, technology-driven paradigms for management education. Until early 2020 the traditional model of management education had been only marginally concerned with technological developments. However, this changed dramatically during the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic when EdTech moved conspicuously to the foreground.
