When I say ‘SAD’ I am referring rather glibly to the acronym I try to avoid when reporting on Sickness Absence due to Mental health issues. Stress, Anxiety and Depression are the first level break down on my Illness Type hierarchy under ‘Mental health’. I’ve spent the best part of the last year delving deeper into Attendance and Absence and one thing is clear, sickness absence due to mental health issues is the biggest problem in the world of business right now.
