Remittances to Mexico reached record high in 2018

In 2017, remittances reached a record of 28,771.29 million dollars, 6.6% more than the previous year. The growth in remittances in January was solid, although in local currency the figure fell 4.5% due to an 11% appreciation of the Mexican peso since January 2017, Goldman Sachs said in a report.
