Hi, I’m Shlomi Ron, the founder and CEO of the Visual Storytelling Institute (VSI), a Miami-based think tank that brings the power of visual storytelling from the art world into more purposeful marketing. With over 20 years of experience in digital marketing, I’ve had the privilege of working with prominent Fortune 100/500 brands such as Nokia, IBM, and American Express.

My passion for visual storytelling stems from my love for classic Italian cinema and my experience managing the estate of video art pioneer Buky Schwartz. This passion drives my work at VSI, where I help brands rise above the noise through visual storytelling consulting, training, and thought leadership.

I’m also proud to teach Brand Storytelling at the University of Miami’s Business School, sharing my knowledge with the next generation of marketers. You might know me as the host of the “Visual Storytelling Today” podcast, which ranks among the top 10 business storytelling podcasts on the web, or as the author of “Total Acuity: Tales with Marketing Morals to Help You Create Richer Visual Brand Stories.” I regularly write about emerging technologies like Web3 and AI and their role in telling meaningful stories.

I am also a certified startup mentor with the Venture Mentoring Team where he helps startups at various growth stages prosper.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking bread, listening to stories from The Moth, and learning new languages. My goal is to help brands connect with their audiences through compelling visual narratives, empowering them to communicate their messages more effectively.
