Taking a look at Jack's, Tesco's new value supermarket

I guess it was inevitable that the large UK supermarkets would respond to the growth of the German value pair of Lidl and Aldi. Last week it came to fruition in Chatteris, a small market town out in the Fenlands of Cambridgeshire. I visited the store this week to take a look and share my findings. As a point of comparison, I have included images taken at Aldi in February 2018 and Lidl in November 2015 in the UK.

In isolation, they are all scandals that have gained lots of headlines, but I think they are an indication that the public is starting to demand a better social conscience from the companies with which they engage.
