Angi Milano

Founder & CEO at Maven Advisory

Chicago, United States

Angi Milano is the founder and CEO of Maven Advisory, where she advises fintech founders and leadership teams on the revenue, growth, and go-to-market decisions required to sell successfully into banks and credit unions.

With more than 15 years of experience across financial institutions and fintech, Angi brings a perspective shaped by both sides of the buying table. She has worked inside organizations including HSBC, Capital One, Citigroup, BCU, and Alliant, evaluating and buying technology, and has also led revenue strategy and execution for fintechs selling into the financial services market. She has been directly involved in six acquisitions throughout her career.

Today, her work focuses on the realities of selling technology into financial institutions: positioning and message-market fit, enterprise sales strategy, buyer behavior, revenue strategy, fintech-bank partnerships, and the changing way financial institutions evaluate and adopt technology.

Angi is also the co-founder and co-host of The GTM Loop, a podcast focused on the realities of building, selling, and growing in fintech, and the co-founder of Midwest Fintech, an initiative focused on strengthening the fintech community across the Midwest.

As a speaker, writer, advisor, and fractional leader, Angi brings a practical operator's perspective to conversations about fintech growth and financial services innovation, grounded in what she has seen work from both the buyer and seller side of the market.

Selling Fintech to Banks and Credit Unions

Selling technology into financial institutions is different from traditional B2B sales. Angi brings experience from both sides of the table to unpack how fintechs can sharpen their positioning, reach the right buyers, navigate long and complex sales cycles, and build a revenue strategy around how banks and credit unions make decisions.

How Financial Institutions Buy Technology

What makes a bank or credit union move from interest to evaluation to a signed contract? Drawing on her experience buying technology inside financial institutions and selling fintech into them, Angi breaks down how buyers evaluate solutions, where deals get stuck, what creates confidence, and what fintechs often misunderstand about the buying process.

Innovation That Financial Institutions Can Actually Adopt

Financial institutions are under pressure to move faster on AI, automation, digital experience, and emerging technology, but adoption depends on more than the technology itself. Angi explores how banks, credit unions, and fintechs can evaluate innovation through the lens of business value, customer trust, risk, implementation, and measurable outcomes.

Credit Union Lending Is Getting More Complex. The Conversations Around It Need to Get Better
Finopotamus
August 12, 2026
Credit unions are under pressure to grow lending at a time when the margin for error is getting smaller.

Loan growth has slowed across much of the industry, credit performance is under more scrutiny, and members still expect faster, easier borrowing experiences. At the same time, lending teams are being asked to make decisions about automation, pricing, underwriting and AI without losing sight of risk.

That makes the question bigger than how to originate more loans.
