Judges and entrepreneur finalists announced for North American AI for Good Innovation Factory Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA, April 12, 2024Tortora Brayda Institute for AI & Cybersecurity, an independent, not-for-profit organization for multi-stakeholder partnership development, today announced the top US finalists, together with the honorary judge board, for the AI for Good Summit Silicon Valley Innovation Factory (covering North America)  contest, where the selected final organizations share innovative ideas leveraging AI to help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Judges and entrepreneur finalists are driven and passionate about AI and how it can be used to accelerate progress towards the United Nations SDGs and build collaboration to assist these applications in achieving global impact.


Honorary Judges


Co-organizer Tortora Brayda Institute, in partnership with AI for Good, has handpicked top AI experts to identify the winner to represent NAM talent.


The honorary judges are:



  • Wen-Wen Lam, Investment Partner at Gradient Ventures

  • Luca Ferraro, Global Sustainability Lead at Cisco

  • Cydni Tetro, Founder and CEO at IdeaCloud


United States Finalists
Tortora Brayda Institute ended its 2024 scouting for AI innovators on April 5th, 2024. The critical search criterion was locating startups that can help achieve one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.


The five nominated US artificial intelligence companies are:



  • ASD.me - ASD.me automates the Telehealth Assessment Report Generation System for diagnosing Autism Spectrum using multimodal analysis and artificial intelligence.

  • Caspar.ai - Caspar is driving the proliferation of healthcare utilizing contactless ambient AI for patients in homes & facilities. 

  • GuidewireRX  - GuidewireRx enables the early detection of chronic vascular disease to prevent heart attack, stroke, and amputation.

  • Stemuli—Stemuli combines education and career pathways in an AI-powered video game. It turns schools into video games.

  • Sworn - Sworn uses AI to evaluate fitness, nutrition, sleep & "experience" data/markers to help first responders to improve health and wellness.

Live pitching session:
The live pitching sessions will occur on Wednesday, April 17th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PST. The session will include discussions with featured mentors on topics related to social impact entrepreneurship, followed by live pitching from several AI startups whose solutions can accelerate our progress toward meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This process will evaluate promising AI-focused startups, and the best solutions will be presented as outcomes of the 2024 AI for Good Grand Finale contest May 30-31, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
