In 2004, I had my first Personal Branding client, and this was a few years after Tom Peters created the concept of PB in the USA. Since then, the topic has gained relevance and expression around the world, and I am happy to have contributed to this throughout almost 20 years of my career. And that is where my inspiration for the area came from, which today translates into 5 corporate brands 100% positioned in the global PB market.

Along the way, I obtained international certifications in the USA and Europe. I am also a founding partner of YouBrand.Company™, a company with several solutions for the market, including: the International Event – ??PBEX Experience®, the Personal Brand Diagnostic Software – BrandYOU360®, the first Executive Training School in Latam in PB – PersonalBranding.Academy®, and the Personal Brand Management Methodology – YOU® Method with franchisees in America, Europe and Africa.

Together with my business partners and clients, in these companies we had the opportunity to multiply and share my method all over the world. With students/clients in more than 30 countries, my team and I have collected many good stories and results to tell.

Academically: Bachelor's Degree in Communication in Public Relations, Specialist in Corporate Communication, MBA in Marketing from FGV, Specialization in Business Communication from Syracuse University-NYC, Specialization in Personal Branding from Blanquerna University – Spain.

I have also been leading a Personal Branding Program since 2016 at Administradores.com – the largest business portal in Latin America. I was also a presenter on CBN 95.9FM Radio with the “CBN Personal Brand Minute”.

Consultant, Mentor, Author, Speaker, Workshop Facilitator and Guest Professor in undergraduate courses in Brazil and abroad. I am an instructor of online courses specializing in the subject, and a member of IELA – International E-Learning Association and ABED – Brazilian Distance Education Association.

I am a frequent guest speaker on the subject nationally and internationally, always contributing to the dissemination of best practices. My main goal is to encourage professionals and companies to experience maximum results through the best principles of Personal Branding.

In my mission to improve and share the best PB practices, I also promote forums with the world's leading thinkers in the area, at our annual PBEX congress and other partner events.

Daniela Viek, founder of YouBrand.Company, achieved seven-figure revenues thanks to her total dedication to studying personal branding.

The term personal branding was described by American author Tom Peters in 1997. A few years later, in 2004, when she graduated in public relations, Daniela Viek from Santa Catarina had her first client in the field, a teacher, writer and speaker. “I came across a book called 'Be Your Own Public Relations Professional'. I believe it was already an insight into what the future would be like”, she recalls.

Despite having also worked in public relations, Daniela focused her career entirely on personal branding, which works on an individual’s image, identity and reputation. “At a certain point, I realized that people are the driving force behind a business. If they are well positioned, they make things happen. That’s when I focused my career on personal brand management,” she explains. With this help, professionals have more clarity, influence, opportunities, message alignment and market positioning.

Your personal brand has no meaning and is not an end in itself. Those who do not understand this quickly and manage their ego and their narratives well will lose market share and become less attractive. Working on your personal brand is not about shining, but about illuminating paths. It is about what you leave in others… and it will be increasingly so!

* Digital humanism - Our society is increasingly digitized. It is a fact that the first impression of you can happen online, that you will look for references about someone online, therefore, managing your personal brand online is no longer a matter of differentiation, but of necessity. Master this as soon as possible. Artificial Intelligence is advancing rapidly, and to apply it to Personal Brand Management, once again, you will need to use it wisely and strategically. Automation is great for business, but you need to be aware of the extent to which the machine adds value and the extent to which it can impact the perception of “humanization about you and your business”. You will need to increasingly improve your Cyberculture to adapt your movements and actions to the online universe. You control your narrative while also being part of a large global marketing narrative that is constantly changing in these new times.

* Adaptability - A sine qua non skill. The time for extensive long-term planning is over; agile management has gained ground and strength. By the time you finish your planning, it may already be out of date. This is why management is always about movement and a strong ability to adapt is necessary for effective personal brand management, because more than action - reactions say a lot about us. Uncontrollable variables, openness to the unexpected, changes of route, it is about remaining constant even in the face of change. Developing this skill will help professionals suffer less in unfavorable scenarios, deal with unforeseen events, overcome problems and strengthen their positioning.
