We need to be business unusual. We need to be supernormal. The linear economy is just not sustainable for our future - and the reality is that there’s a better way to make money and do good, solving some of these really complex problems.

Access to education, healthcare, clean water, and economic development opportunities remain key priorities for many countries. Entire populations and children are being left behind and marginalized through climate change, disruptions, and globalization. Addressing generational poverty and transformation can take decades. How might we learn from current success stories, work that can scale to other parts of the world in sustainable development? Great ideas and innovation are everywhere, but often access to funding, relationships, and networks present hurdles particularly for young, underrepresented (often female, black, and non-binary) people. How can we access to funding so great ideas can thrive?

Sustainability is top of mind for companies today—and for good reason. It’s the business challenge of our lifetimes. Customers demand products and services that minimize negative impact. Employees are increasingly vocal about their employer’s environmental policies and actions. And government regulation is on the rise.
In this third session of Women in Supply Chain Live, we’ll focus on sustainability, the critical role that sustainable supply chains play in protecting the environment, and how supply chain solutions can help companies ethically source and trace goods, reduce waste, lower emissions, ensure the health and safety of employees, and reduce their carbon footprint.
Join Mindy Davis, VP of SAP Digital Supply Chain Marketing, and our special guest, Sheri Hinish, IBM Sustainable Supply Chain Global Offering Leader, on Thursday, May 20 at 08:00 PST / 17:00 CET, for a discussion on how building a sustainable supply chain is good for both the environment and for business.
Topics include:
• Drivers of sustainability initiatives
• Challenges companies are facing
• The role of sustainability in each phase of supply chain
• How sustainability goals are a catalyst for change
• Future trends and predictions
