Supply chain demand planners often ask themselves: What is the best model to forecast my demand? What are the best practices I should follow to improve (or set up) my forecast (and make it more useful for my supply chain)?

It is impossible to give a definitive, absolute answer to those questions. But I will try in two articles (this is the second one, you can find the first one here) to review most of the existing forecasting models and then show you tips, tricks, and best practices for tweaking and selecting them. This second article will examine various best practices on how you can choose the best forecasting model, tune it to your supply chain, and improve your overall demand planning process.
