Laurent Kahl is founder, consultant, and sales manager of GlobalFootprints, an import / export consultancy that helps small-and-medium businesses navigate and succeed in the international trade arena. GlobalFootprints helps facilitate company set-ups of import / export departments, and provides expertise in establishing effective operational approaches to international logistics, sales and marketing, documentation, finance, market research, pricing, standards, and more.
Prior to creating GlobalFootprints in 2013, Laurent worked for a wide range of large multi-nationals including: HELLA (German automotive parts manufacturer) selling in South America; Habasit (Swiss manufacturer of conveyor components and motors) selling in Latin America; International Paper (major American paper manufacturer) selling in the Middle East, Latin America, and Canada; Kaiser Aluminum (U.S. manufacturer of fertilizers and chemicals) selling to the Americas; and Hercules International (U.S. wood products manufacturer) selling to the European Union and Caribbean Basin.
Laurent has additional international logistics experience working for the Port of Charleston as a Regional Cargo Sales Manager – Northeast Region, in New York City.
He also created his own importing venture, Filter Supply America, where he represented a major German manufacturer of industrial filters that are distributed and sold in the U. S. and Canada.
