Jason is an experienced senior public servant with expertise in economic development, project initiation and execution, and financial and organisational reform of government.
Jason is the Executive Director of Northern Australia Economic and Industry Development in the Northern Territory Government. Jason is leading economic and industry development initiatives in Defence, National Security, Space, and the Oil and Gas sectors.
Jason led the North-East Gas Interconnector Project (now the Northern Gas Pipeline) resulting in the appointment of a proponent to connect the Northern and Eastern Gas Markets. This link was officially opened on 14 December 2018.
Prior to this, Jason held a number of executive positions in the Northern Territory Public Service roles with a strong focus on economic development, major infrastructure and strategic policy development including Deputy Coordinator-General, Office of Major Projects, Infrastructure and Investment, Executive Director Strategic Oil and Gas Development and Executive Director, Economic Development.
Jason worked for 7 years as a commercial lawyer in the Solicitor for the Northern Territory, Department of the Attorney General and Justice, with a focus on major infrastructure and industry projects, including the Alice Springs to Darwin railway, a number of gas pipelines, and the Darwin Marine Supply Base among others.
Jason is a Certified Practising Accountant with achievements in major government financial reform.
Jason was born in and is now raising a family in the Northern Territory.
