The Agentic Infrastructure Gap Isn't Where Most Enterprises Are Looking
Linkedin
July 29, 2026
In previous roles in my career, I lived inside quantitative research. I reviewed survey data, argued about question wording, and scrutinized response options. Then I'd correlate what respondents told us against what vendors were pushing out in case studies across the market. That last part is still the most fun I have in this job, and still the hardest. While the headline numbers give you the market's direction, what people do about it always sits a few questions deeper.

Snowflake Closed the Openness Gap. The Market Hasn't Noticed Yet.
Linkedin
June 09, 2026
I spent last week at Snowflake Summit in San Francisco, and I left with a different read than the one I walked in with. I'm not walking into this blind, and odds are you aren't either. Most of us already know the critiques, so let's get them out of the way early and honestly. For years the case against Snowflake came down to three things. It was closed, it was expensive, and it was late to AI. None of those were cheap shots. Competitors built real sales motions around the first two, the sense that data goes in and doesn't easily come back out and that you pay a premium for the privilege, and I've made versions of the openness critique myself more than once. The AI knock landed too. Snowflake took longer than its peers to put a complete, credible AI story in front of customers. And Snowflake isn't blind to any of this. To their credit, they own these critiques openly rather than pretend they were never fair.

Oracle's Bet on the Coordination Layer for Enterprise AI
Linkedin
May 13, 2026
In a sea of events over the last couple weeks, I was fortunate to be included in a handful of analysts attending Oracle's Analytics Summit in Redwood Shores. Most analysts agree that these smaller, more intimate summits are where there's maximum transparency and value add. The mix was overall strategy sessions, technical deep dives, customer and partner panels, and the kind of hallway conversations where the most useful information actually shows up. The important note here is that this wasn't about databases or core OCI. This was the layer that sits on top of both. And that layer is where Oracle is making a more architecturally interesting argument than its marketing has caught up with yet, and the details deserve real attention.

Inside Qlik's Agentic Experience
Linkedin
April 22, 2026
I spent most of last week at Qlik Connect, and came home with a lot to process. Between keynotes, customer meetings, analyst sessions, dinners, and 1:1s with Qlik execs across product, AI, partnerships, and strategy, it was an action-packed week with plenty to sort through.

There was a moment during Mik

Galileo Brings Cisco a Purpose-Built Agent Evaluation Layer
Linkedin
April 15, 2026
A few weeks ago I wrote about the governance stack Cisco shipped at RSA 2026, covering what happens before agents go live, while they're working, and when something goes wrong. Cisco's planned acquisition of Galileo extends that middle phase faster than I expected. Cisco already had the security half of the "while agents are working" problem covered. What Galileo adds is the quality half, and together those two halves give Cisco one of the more complete agent operations stories in the market right now.
