Partner and India Country Director
Expectation State
April 01, 2025
Expectation State is a boutique global advisory firm headquartered in the UK, with an established track record across the Middle East and Africa. The firm works at the intersection of governments, private sector, and international development — designing strategies that build more inclusive economies and communities.
As Partner and Country Director, I lead the firm's India, South, and Southeast Asia practice — directing business development, client acquisition, and the firm's strategic positioning across the region. My work spans corridor strategy, market entry advisory, and project origination for sovereign and private sector clients.
Current engagements include:
Rwanda (LuxDev): Business Case Development Expert for the Sustainable Forestry and Renewable Energy Programme — leading the investment roadmap for scaling clonal eucalyptus technology from proof-of-concept to 2.5 million plantlets annually, supporting private sector participation and climate resilience.
Uganda (UNHCR): Team Lead for a national market assessment on inclusive insurance for forcibly displaced people — designing mixed-method field research across refugee-hosting regions and developing a pilot-ready roadmap for agricultural, small business, and climate insurance products.

Co Director, LSE Research and Education Foundation India
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)
January 01, 2021
The LSE Research and Education Foundation India is the London School of Economics and Political Science's dedicated institutional presence in India — established to deepen the School's academic, philanthropic, and intellectual engagement with one of its most significant alumni and research communities globally.
I help established the Foundation from the ground up, working in close collaboration with the LSE Director of Finance and under the strategic guidance of LSE PAGE. This involved securing all regulatory licences, building the operational and governance framework, and defining the Foundation's strategic direction across three core pillars:
Scholarships: Directing fundraising to support access to LSE programmes for students from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds in India.
Research: Facilitating collaborative partnerships between Indian academic institutions and LSE faculty, with a focus on globally significant research challenges.
Knowledge Exchange: Designing and convening high-calibre programmes that connect Indian policymakers, business leaders, academics, and practitioners with LSE's global intellectual network.
