I am a three-time technology pioneer, keynote speaker, author of Intro to Artificial Intelligence, and Strategic AI Advisor to executive leaders and boards.
In 1993, I was among the first ten people in the world to make a voice call over the internet. I became CEO of Free World Dialup — the world's first peer-to-peer voice network and a direct predecessor to Skype — and was featured on CNN's Maverick of the Day to three million viewers. The VoIP industry I helped build is now valued at over $100 billion globally.
In 2014, I founded the IBM Watson Lab for Cancer at the Oslo Cancer Cluster — the first AI laboratory for cancer research embedded within a European cancer campus. It became a gathering point for doctors, researchers, and media across Europe, and opened the door for AI in healthcare as a serious discipline.
As Nordic CTO at Cognizant, I led AI strategy and digital transformation across the region and closed over $500 million in enterprise deals spanning energy, banking, telecom, and public sector. I redesigned how Norway's Tax Authority approaches innovation and change management. I held senior technology leadership positions at Ericsson and Telenor. I have founded four technology companies.
