Exploring the Theory of a ‘Dismantled Mindset’: A Call for Collective Empowerment

This paper introduces the Dismantled Mindset—a framework for understanding how
systemic power structures rooted in greed, fear, influence, and responsibility fragment
individual identities and shape societal dynamics. These mindsets, often established
through historical and contemporary power imbalances, perpetuate disempowerment and
inequality. The paper argues that by identifying and dismantling these entrenched
systems, we can foster collective empowerment. Additionally, it explores the role
of artificial intelligence (AI) in both reinforcing and potentially dismantling these power
structures. This work calls for an interdisciplinary, collaborative effort to address the
psychological, social, and technological aspects of the Dismantled Mindset, advocating
for a future grounded in shared power and the true ethical responsibility that promotes
justice, equity, and collective well-being.

From Theory to Code: Simulating the Dismantled Mindset

In 2024, I introduced the Dismantled Mindset, a conceptual framework describing how structural power imbalances fragment individual and collective identities, eroding the coherence that communities need to act, organize, and resist systemic influence.

The original work was qualitative. It offered a language for the phenomenon but no mechanism for measurement, comparison, or policy testing. That limitation was intentional at first, but it became the most important question to address next.

This article presents the mathematical formalization and open-source Python simulation I built to close that gap. The working paper is available on SSRN (5824582) and the full repository is on GitHub.
