Simone de Haas is a multi-award-winning theatre director, speaker, and leadership communication strategist. With more than four decades of experience in performance, direction, and executive education, she brings a distinctive perspective to leadership presence, boardroom dynamics, and strategic communication. Simone is the creator of Theatre of Leadership® and Ensemble Intelligence™, two applied frameworks that reframe leadership as a live, relational practice rather than a static role.
Through Theatre of Leadership®, she explores how presence, clarity, and strategic narrative shape influence in high-stakes environments. Ensemble Intelligence™ examines how trust, attention, and collective capability are actively constructed within teams and boards. Drawing on theatre direction, performance psychology, and organisational insight, Simone translates embodied performance principles into practical tools for governance, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making under pressure. She has lectured in Acting at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and Performance Studies at Qld University of Technology, and works nationally and internationally across government, corporate and professional sectors.
