Polymath | Futurist | Automation-AI CoE Lead | “The Art of Reinvention”
Zahara Chetty is an innovation strategist, futures practitioner, and responsible AI and Automation Design lead, at Proximus, one of Europe's major telecommunications groups. She designed and launched one of the first agentic AI Hubs for design work inside the organisation, with responsible AI principles built into the architecture from the first sprint rather than retrofitted as compliance.
Earlier in her career, at Accenture Development Partners, she led the sustainable design community of practice and designed cross-sector convenings for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Global Opportunity Youth Network, Business for Inclusive Growth, and Greenpeace on the future of work for young people and the shape of green jobs in a transitioning economy. She also wrote the Fjord Trends for Africa, managed The Good Future Project with The Futures Agency, and founded the African Futures Academy.
Her practice spans innovation strategy, participatory futures, UX and design thinking, agentic AI architecture, and the redesign of work in the age of AI. She has worked with organisations including Proximus, Accenture, Pearson, Barclays, Absa, and across Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and now Europe.
She writes about AI, identity, reinvention, and the systems shaping how we live, drawing on twenty-five years of cross-domain practice and a lifelong instinct for reading systems from the edges inward.
