Hong Wai Onn is a two-time Malaysia Book of Records holder, Chartered Chemical Engineer, and award-winning author of A Chemical Engineer in the Palm Oil Milling Industry. With nearly two decades of experience in the palm oil and biotechnology industries, he brings deep expertise in engineering, sustainability, and innovation. A passionate volunteer and mentor, Hong has served as Honorary Secretary of IChemE Malaysia, founded its Palm Oil Processing Special Interest Group, and advises multiple universities on chemical engineering. He holds an Executive MBA with Honours from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Washington, D.C., and is a Freeman of the City of London as well as a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Malaysian Institute of Management.
