Ivan Moreira is a Senior Program Manager, Business Strategy Consultant, Contract Manager, and Information Technology & Security Consultant.
He was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and relocated to Portugal in 2001 after graduating in Electronics and working for 5 years in that industry. At ISCTE in Lisbon, he studied Computer Science Management. In 2011, among others, he earned the Project Management Institute's and ITIL Foundation's PMP certifications.
Ivan has been involved in large-scale projects for corporate clients in the energy, oil, public administration, transportation, finance, and retail sectors over the last 18 years, and he is currently working in the cybersecurity field for the healthcare industry, where he helps to define and implement projects aligned with the company's strategic portfolio.
He aims to play an integral role in promoting the best project management practices in the technology field through the continuous creation of disruptive innovations that will be accessible to those who need them to enhance business performance.
Passionate about helping the community and people around him, he volunteers as a Division Director for Toastmasters International in Portugal. He is a founding member of the PM Portugal Toastmasters Club in Lisbon since 2016. He also works closely with PMI Romania Chapter sharing project management knowledge and providing technology advisory. He is the blog author for PMI Budapest and he is also a mentor for students of post-graduation in project management at PUC Minas University in partnership with PMI-MG in Brazil. In Portugal, he volunteers at CASA distributing food to homeless people.
Ivan has made important contributions to the promotion of project management and IT best practices, and one way he shares his knowledge is through speaking at PMI events in Romania, Ukraine, Angola, Brazil, and the United States.
