I have 21 years experience in Payments, FinTech, Telecommunications & Business Process Management domains with a proven track record of creating high performing cross functional and cross cultural teams across Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Business Planning, Corporate Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions.

At Quatrro I incubated a Payments company that has become a Globally accredited 3rd Party Processor of Visa, MasterCard and has also been certified by NPCI.

I am an active public speaker having spoken in forums like CII, NASSCOM, CeBIT, Tedx, Assocham, IOTx, Convergence India and several other events pertaining to Payments, Business Process Management and Leadership. I have delivered lectures at IITs, IIM Lucknow, Indian School of Business, School of Inspired Leadership & Manhattan College for Business.

I authored various articles on Digital Payments, Demonetization & Blockchain for leading journals like Let’s Talk Payments, Business World, CIO Review, Finapolis.

I am alumnus of Columbia Business School and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and an accredited mentor at Everwise, Joyful Frog Digital Incubator, Nasscom 10K Startups and Fintech -Startupbootcamp. I currently lead Nasscom Blockchain SIG, am a member of Nasscom Northern Regional Council and Co-chair of Columbia Business School Alumni club in Delhi.

I am an avid cyclist and hold the title of Randonneur from Paris for cycling 208+ kms in under 10 hours. I am constantly guided by life motto - 'Help Ever, Hurt Never'!

Using Hyperledger Fabric to fight spam calls in India

The spam call situation had grown grimmer in India in 2018, a country with more than 1 billion active mobile subscribers causing bad customer experience, propagation of fake news and financial scams. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had acknowledged UCC (Unsolicited Commercial Communication) or spam calls are a major nuisance to telecom subscribers across the country and is a growing menace that needs to be tackled with immediate effect. Though TRAI had established a “Do Not Disturb” (DND) list in 2010 with more than 230 million subscribers on it, unregistered telemarketers continue to spam customers, obtaining their consent through fraudulent and questionable tactics. Through various internal and external assessments, DLT was provisioned as the underlying technology to curb the menace. Tech Mahindra developed a Plug-n-Play solution, built on Hyperlegder Fabric to mitigate the challenge and thereby showcasing its prowess in the Blockchain tech space. With the solution successfully deployed across three major telcos in India, Tech Mahindra has access to >50% market in India. This has potential to create global impact and we have already reached out to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US market and exploring opportunities to socialize it with US based telcos where robo-calling and caller ID spoofing are key pain areas that can be addressed by Tech Mahindra’s transformative solution.
