Congratulations! This certifies that Shweta Berry has completed Stukent's Mimic Pro digital marketing simulation. Students that use Mimic Pro get hands-on experience doing digital marketing. Throughout the simulation they manage an online ad campaign of roughly $50,000. The end goal is to drive the highest revenues and profits. Round by round, students have reports so that they can analyze the data, and make data driven decisions about how to proceed. Without the effects of spending real money, they are able to test and try different strategies, and they're more prepared to work with real ad dollars than students without experience managing tens of thousands of ad dollars. “From 21:79 ratio of Women : Men in tech industry five years back to 30:70 now, it seems that little has changed at the power centre of technology in India. However, in spite of so many tumultuous years of under-representation of women in the technology industry with under 11% representation of women in decision making roles; we do have positive stories on women leadership in our country. From the President of NASSCOM- Debjani Ghosh to Vanitha Narayanan- MD, IBM and Kiran Mazumdar Shaw- Chairperson and MD of Biocon, Geetha Kannan, MD of Anitab.org India; the Indian technology leadership landscape is changing. The future demands for technology-led inclusive growth and inclusiveness would mean inclusivity in terms of gender, geography and genre.

Less than 11% of women in decision making roles

Teaching software in 1999 to creating IT solutions, to selling and marketing technology solutions today; I have slowly climbed the career ladder, fighting self-doubt, invisibility and unwillingly standing back and letting others take credit. And these are not just my struggles. The gender gap is huge in tech industry with less than 11% of women in decision making roles! Indeed, there is a voluntary dropout of qualified women when they decide to get married or pregnant or when workplace politics becomes unbearable. However, there exists equal number of qualified women, craving to join back without the need to justify their long gap years! While a respectful, psychologically safe, equal renumeration and timely promotion based on performance—not gender are basic asks; there is huge need to build collaborative platform for women in technology where they can freely express, learn, network to create growth opportunities. Being strong willed, believing that ‘work speaks for itself’, upgrading my skillsets regularly and having inspiring mentors from different fields has made my corporate journey worthwhile.

Data collection from IoT devices and analysis is core to IoT implementations. With increasing vulnerability of cyberattacks through IoT devices and EU GDPR in action, IoT security & data privacy are a prime concern, steering boardroom and client discussions. GDPR enforcement has implications not only on businesses operating in EU but outside too. In addition, GDPR is redefining the way business collects and manages data. In 2020, we will see how deeply its going to impact roles for key leaders in businesses, from CIOs to CMOs. With GDPR in full force, CIOs must ensure that they have watertight consent management processes in place. Similarly, CMOs would require effective data rights management systems to ensure they don’t lose their most valuable asset – data. A slip in handing data privacy would invite penalization so severe that it may force the business to shut down completely.

Leveraging ICT for the Development Sector, Aeris aims to bring a positive social impact with digital empowerment and has launched indigenously developed flagship digital offering to the social sector.The ‘TechNirmal’ App was soft launched on February 2018 in New Delhi. ?Welthungerhilfe is implementing "Building grass- roots civil society cadres for effectiveness and transparency" programme in seven states of India: Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Rajasthan. The EU co-funded programme is being implemented in partnership with local NGO partners. The information about water bodies in the project area plays a vital role in the sustainability of the initiative. The TechNirmal project is an initiative towards applying ICT for Development. Currently, awareness on conservation and revival of water bodies is being done by organizing river nadi yatras and shramdaan. The data from the sites is collected and the corresponding reporting is done manually. This is prone to human errors and delays. Therefore, a more accurate tool that collects information in real time is needed. In addition, there was a problem in communicating the major events and meetings at the pan-India level to volunteers working in remote areas. At Present, there has been no initiative in mapping the water bodies by any organization using technology, and, therefore the TechNirmal project can pave way for scaling up by different stakeholders including the Government. The project includes the training of community leaders on how to monitor the water bodies being revived in the area using simple tools like their own mobile phones. This monitoring tool for water bodies will enable the communities to track the encroachment of water bodies on their own and will function as a social accountability tool.

The collaboration between Aeris and IIT BHU, one of the top engineering institutes in India, will enable the creation of indigenous and innovative IoT solutions, supporting the “Digital India” mission and “Make in India” initiative. The Aeris IoT platform will be deployed at the IoT-CoE as part of the MCIIE and will be used by IIT-BHU scholars for projects of academic interest, as well as serving as an incubation platform for startups for the development of connected and integrated smart solutions. ’Tractors-as-a-Service’ in India & ASEAN Region at FICCI session on IoT in Agriculture

India, Africa and ASEAN has its roots in agrarian societies and agriculture occupies a special role in the socio-economic development. It is an important driver for social, inclusive growth; an essential source of export earnings; a guarantor of food availability to its citizens; and a source of employment directly and through agriculture-related, value adding activities. Despite rural India being predominantly agrarian, less than 30% of our farmers use the necessary equipment that facilitates productive and profitable work. Similarly, the ASEAN per capita arable land area is 0.12 hectare, among the smallest in the world. Across the regions, the small landholdings make it unviable for farmers to own agri-machinery and implements. Tractors form an integral part of farm mechanization and have a crucial role to play in increasing agricultural productivity. But, the small farmers can barely afford high-cap equipment and often take loans to buy them, which often adds onto the financial burden with a bad crop yield season. Hence, the Indian agrarian landscape is characterized by large populations of small farm holders, where the common farmer is managing a plot of land too small to justify investing in heavy equipment. The Hello Tractor and Aeris alliance provides a process that applies technology to enable “Tractor-as-a-service” for bringing down the burden of capex for small farm holders to ‘Zero’ for the high-cap agricultural equipment. Even from the opex point of view, currently monthly rentals is a norm which does not account for the actual usage of the tractor in field or for other commercial use. With the Aeris IoT solutions, tractor tracking, utilization time and billing is simplified, based on time in the field and area covered. Right Business Strategy is a must.
