
RAdm (ret.) Dr. Eyal Pinko
Eyal Pinko served in the Israeli Navy and the National Intelligence Agency for almost 30 years.
Eyal holds the Israeli National Security Award, the head of the National Intelligence Agency's Decoration of Excellence, the DDR&D Decoration of Excellence, the IDF Commander in Chief's Decoration of Excellence, the Chief of Naval Operations' Decoration of Excellence, and the Head of Naval Material Command's Decoration of Excellence.
During his service, Eyal served four years in an operational naval unit and participated in dozens of operations.
He served an additional 12 years as the head of development programs and the senior system engineer for weapon systems and missiles.
Eyal served an additional six years as an intelligence unit commander at the Naval Intelligence (Commander rank).
After his naval career, Eyal served five more years as the head of an intelligence operations division at the National Intelligence Agency (Rear Admiral Rank).
He graduated from the national senior intelligence course, intelligence courses, operational courses, weapon systems engineering courses, leadership courses, and management training.
After retiring in 2017, Eyal was a senior consultant for almost three years at the Israeli National Cyber Directorate. He developed cybersecurity methodologies, wargaming scenarios, threat/risk assessments, and impact analyses for businesses and governmental agencies.
Dr. Pinko holds a bachelor's degree with honors in electronics engineering and three master's degrees with Honors in International Relationships, Public Management, and Organizational Development.
Since 2019, Dr. Pinko holds a Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University (Defense and Security Studies).
He is a researcher and lecturer in cyber, national security, maritime security, and intelligence at Bar Ilan University, BESA Center, and other academic institutions. Eyal also teaches in cybersecurity colleges.
Since 2018, he has written over 500 articles in leading security and defense journals and was the keynote speaker at dozens of global conferences.
Dr. Pinko is regularly interviewed on several news channels, including the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Channel 14, Channel 11, ILTV, i24, IDF Radio, Epochnews, India Times, Sputnik, and more.
In 2016, he published a book on Iranian naval asymmetric warfare. In 2020, he published a chapter in a book focusing on maritime cybersecurity.
He was awarded research scholarships in 2018 by the Haifa Maritime Strategy Research Center for maritime security research, in 2020 by the Israeli Ministry of Science for national security research, and in 2022 by NATO and the EU to write a textbook on hybrid naval warfare.
Since June 2020, he has been president of the International Institute for Migration and Security Research in Sofia/Bulgaria. The research center focuses on strategic studies in national security, migration, cyber, and intelligence.
He is an EU expert (no. EX2020D387212) in national security, cyber, and intelligence.
Since the end of 2017, Eyal has been the CEO of Terra Strategic Solutions, focusing on business and competitive intelligence, influence campaigns, cybersecurity, and homeland security consulting. The company has gained vast experience in projects worldwide for medium and large companies, VIPs, governments, public relations agencies, and law companies.
For his contribution to the community, Dr. Pinko has been volunteering since 2002 in NGOs promoting community leadership. He also lectures on leadership, business strategy, self-reliance, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
