Pejman Gohari is the founder of ORBii, a knowledge hub dedicated to digital transformation and AI. With over 20 years of experience, he has held key roles as Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and Deputy CIO in leading institutions such as KPMG, Bpifrance, and Société Générale.

After starting his career at INRIA, Pejman founded the startup ORYANOO, one of the first SaaS-based CRM solutions for SMEs. He then joined Société Générale, where he launched and led the first Cybersecurity team and the first banking CERT. In the following years, he took charge of creating Société Générale's DataLab, a pioneer in AI solutions applied to banking.

At Bpifrance, he led a major transformation by establishing a Data-Centric architecture and creating a reference AI & Data Factory. Along with his team, he spearheaded the deployment of the first Data solutions called Comptoirs de données and AI & ML solutions for the bank, notably through innovative Cloud initiatives.

Pejman is a leader passionate about innovation and the strategic use of Data and AI to transform businesses and create added value. Currently, as the head of ORBii, he continues to inspire and share his knowledge to contribute to the development of smart digital solutions.

When asked about the progress of SMEs and mid-sized companies in the field of data, Pejman Gohari from Bpifrance stated that they are beginning to take a serious interest. "They want to understand, but not necessarily by turning to a consulting firm," he noted. He emphasized that it’s the systemic approach that needs to be understood, not just the hiring of data scientists. Pejman Gohari also highlighted the addition of data as a key topic on the agenda of executive committees and the increasing presence of CDOs at these meetings. He believes that data can be discussed in terms of challenges, which is excellent, but also from the perspective of how it can help solve problems, such as climate-related issues.
