John is the executive-in-residence at Harvard Business School’s Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH) and the Founder and Chairman of Open Assembly, a company that provides the world’s first digital aggregation platform to help organizations reduce friction in the adoption of open talent and freelancing.He is currently writing his sixth book: Open Talent: Leveraging a Global Workforce to Solve Your Biggest Challenges, along with his co-authors, Karim Lakhani and Jin Paik, the founders of LISH. Harvard Business Press will publish the book in the fall of 2023.
Recently, John co-founded a global industry coalition of global leaders in the open talent and innovation industry called The Center for the Transformation of Work with the goal of revolutionizing the workplace for a billion people by 2025.
