Orlando is a curious and innovative person with more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and is passionate about healthcare and business ecosystem.
He has worked as executive for multinational companies like Merck & Co., Gilead Science, and Novartis, having the opportunity to live in various countries and closely understand more than 50 European healthcare ecosystems.
Throughout his career, he has led significant organizational transformations and has foster the creation of ecosystems to address people's needs in health and well-being.
He is founder of the strategic consultancy Bluebarna Ecosystems and collaborates with companies and consultant to create and develop ecosystems to maximise opportunities.
Furthermore, he is an advocate of the power of ecosystems and has develop the "Ecosystems Leaders Mindset”. His book "Ecosystems Leaders Mindset. From Ego to Eco: The great migration towards ecosystems” has been launched in November 2023 in Peru and is expected by February 2024 in Spain.
Orlando is an Ambassador of Barcelona Health Hub, Spain's leading digital health ecosystem, which recognized him as one of the top influencers in digital health in Spain in 2022. He is also member of the Advisory Board of the MBA program at the Universidad Autonoma del Peru and other universities.
He also serves as a mentor in various mentoring programs. Orlando is keynote speaker and TED speaker.
Orlando is graduated in Economics from “La Sapienza” University of Rome (Italy) and has obtained a Master in Finance from Pisa University (Italy) and the Advanced Management Program from IESE Business School (Spain). He completed a finance course at Harvard Business School, Boston (USA) and has participated in leadership programs during his career.
He is Peruvian and currently live in Barcelona, Spain. He speaks Spanish, English, and Italian. He is passionate about cooking, art, and Formula One.
