I’ve always been passionate about games, I grew up playing games not only as a form of entertainment but also as a means to learn, from languages to new technologies. Through games, I developed my interest in computers and computer science and later understood that this was my true vocation.
For 8 years now, I’ve developed and designed single and multiplayer games as well as immersive learning experiences for Windows, Android, iOS, WebGL, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, and Oculus Quest. As a full-stack developer, I mainly use Unity, Play!, C#, Java, JS, and MySQL. And my current focus is on Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
I started my journey as a game developer while I was still studying. My first game was created in my free time, which became an internet sensation with YouTubers and Streamers, having hundreds of thousands of gameplay videos with more than 50 million accumulated views. This project also became the focus of my MSc’s dissertation where I used biofeedback to control the different game mechanics. I’ve co-authored several papers derived from my dissertation. After finishing my MSc in Computer Software Engineering, I quickly joined a studio where I produced an original title and maintained a couple of others.
Soon after, I was invited to join Adtalem and be one of ILX’s first members. I was able to learn more about Game-based Learning and coupling it with my gaming experience I helped design and create several games and learning experiences for various institutions. I was later appointed Development Lead. I was responsible for leading the development team, maintaining and optimizing our processes, supporting our existing products, and managing our tech stack and server infrastructure. I continued developing and designing the multi-awarded project, myVRscope™.
In 2020 I took the next step and became Co-founder and CTO of inciteVR. With an extremely talented team that has been working together for many years, inciteVR specializes in the production of engaging and delightful immersive learning products for higher education and professional training.
I’m an avid gamer, I do CrossFit, love nature, traveling and have a passion for learning musical instruments. I also have a quest to visit all 7 continents, I’m at 57% completion.
