Radislav Gandapas

President at CIS Speakers Association (CISSA)

Moscow, Russian Federation

As a little boy, I wanted to grow up & become just like my Dad.

He was a pilot. He was delighted by the prospect of me following in his footsteps.

In pursuing my plan, I spent countless hours preparing.
I hung upside down from monkey bars, jumped over fire, and spun around on all kinds of flight simulators. Slowly but surely, I became more & more fearless.
Or at least, so I thought.

One day, I was asked by Mum & Dad to stand and share a few words in front of their friends.
I froze.
I was struck down with anxiety.
Muted by fear, I couldn’t even get my mouth to move…

How times have changed!
Having invested innumerable hours going deep on public speaking, the subject became the core of my life’s work.

Expanding from the centre, I have built a knowledge and skill base in the sphere of leadership.
In addition to books, I have created and run workshops helping leaders become more competent.

In recognition of my work, I have been voted ‘Best Coach in Russia’ on 3 separate occasions.
On the international front, I have been voted as one of the Top 30 Global Gurus on the topic of Leadership in both 2019 and 2020 (with a #27 ranking this year).

In terms of writing, I have authored twelve books.
The topics covered are leadership, public speaking, and personal effectiveness.
Publishing has occurred in seven languages. In 2013, my book “Leadership Charisma” was ranked as Best Russian Business Book of The Year.

In academia, I am Honorary Professor of the Synergy Business School.

On stage, I have presented hundreds of times.
The largest to date was a gathering of 28,000 people.
I have shared the stage with talents such Allan Pease, Brian Tracy, Robin Sharma, Kjell Nordstrom, John Gray and Marshall Goldsmith.

As an interviewee, I am accustomed to giving over a hundred media interviews a year.

Amongst the clients with whom I have worked are top Russian & international brands.
These include: Alfabank, Sberbank, MTS, Sibur Holding, Russian Railways, Russian Aluminum, IBM, BP, MTV, Nornickel, Olympic Sochi Committee-2014.
In addition, I have consulted to senior corporate officers and senior political figures.

There remains much to do.
Especially beyond the borders of the Russian speaking world.

For inquiries regarding speeches, coaching or other forms of collaboration, there are two options.

The Kama Sutra of Public Speaking
Acorn Independent Press
February 05, 2016
Does public speaking fill you with dread? Does a room full of expectant people looking up at you on stage turn your stomach? I was once like you, even as a child, I had nightmares about having to recite poems at family parties but, to the great surprise of my friends, I am now the leading public speaker in Russia. I am not one of those glossy personalities born with the gift of effortlessly enchanting an audience; I had to learn how to do it the hard way - studying the best in the business, trying out different approaches and, of course, growing from my mistakes along the way. In this book, I share what I have learnt. In each chapter, I cover the fundamental elements of successful public speaking. Just as the Kama Sutra teaches how to improve relationships between a man and woman, I want to teach you how to improve your relationship with your audience - how to charm them, how to get them on side, how to deal with difficult questions, how to enjoy your time together and of course, how to ensure everyone leaves smiling. My real-world examples cover a range of common public speaking situations and problems, so whether your boss has asked you to give a presentation or your friend has asked you to speak at his wedding, this book will teach you how to build a good repertoire with your audience and how to actually enjoy it.
