February 18, 2021
If you’re a business owner or an expert, you’ve probably heard about the Clubhouse app. The Clubhouse
app is an invite-only, audio-based iPhone app, that’s essentially a social network where instead of posting, or tweeting, you’re chatting. So, people go on, they enter rooms and then they chat with people
about that room’s topic.

The Top 7 Inhibitors of Intentional Influence
Jane Anderson
January 29, 2021
I’ve written previously about how to lead with intentional influence in 2021. But what is intention, or intentional influence? In practice, for leaders, this means seeing the big picture. It means understanding the connections between disparate parts of your team or your community or even the issues that relate to those disparate parts. And most importantly, it’s about being able to persuade expanding groups of people to see those connections and follow where you are leading.

How Will You Activate Your Word Wheel in 2021?
Jane Anderson
January 23, 2021
Each year many of us pick an annual word for the year as opposed to choosing a New Year’s resolution, which makes sense as the research shows that around 80% of new years resolutions fail to be achieved. Leading with Intentional Influence in 2021
Jane Anderson
January 01, 2021
Every year about this time some choose a word for the year. Not New Year’s resolutions, but instead, choosing a single word that becomes the focus for the new year. This word becomes the lens through which we see everything through. Every decision we make, we endeavour to ensure that it aligns with this word. And it’s how I set about creating ‘intentional influence’.

Why You Should Publish Content on LinkedIn
Jane Anderson
December 06, 2020
In Content Club, someone recently asked me if she should publish content on LinkedIn. She believed, as many do, that her content would serve her better on her own blog, or other social media platforms.
This is a great question. Many people do spread themselves a bit too thin on social media platforms, posting everywhere, all the time. Adding LinkedIn can feel like the nail in the coffin and just another thing to do. And because it’s a professional networking site, LinkedIn can also be quite an intimidating place to begin to publish and post. Many people feel more comfortable staying on Facebook or Instagram, for example.

Viral Content: You never know where a piece of content will go
Jane Anderson
November 19, 2020
On the 26th of January 2019, my now-fiancé Mark decided he would propose. He told me that we were going to spend the day at Whitehaven Beach, in the Whitsundays. The only way to get over to the beach was by boat.
On the way over on the boat, we met a lovely American couple. We started chatting away and giving advice on what to see while in Queensland. As the day went on we became fast friends, so of course, we connected on Facebook and Mark and I told them that if they needed anything while they were here to get in touch.

How to Measure Content Marketing Performance
Jane Anderson
November 04, 2020
When you’re posting content it’s easy to get caught in the vanity metrics around likes, comments and shares. And when you start looking at these to measure your content marketing performance it’s equally easy to wear yourself out trying to create more and more content, as you continue to chase more likes, comments, and shares.
Neil Patel, an expert on content marketing, has written extensively on measuring content marketing performance… but when he mentions likes, comments and shares, it’s only as a small metric among a much larger analytic strategy. And that’s because while social metrics are valuable, they’re certainly not the be all end all.

This is one of the most common questions that I’m asked – ‘how to recruit a VA?’ And while I’m always happy to share my contacts with my tribe, in this case the answer isn’t as straight forward as sending through a virtual business card. First, we have to look at the bigger picture.

The Power of the Prolific Expert (What is Prolific and How to Get There)

Tori Amos is a singer-songwriter, composer and accomplished pianist from the US. She began composing music on the piano by the time she was three years old. At the age of five she was admitted to the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University with a full scholarship, the youngest person ever to be invited to attend. Interestingly, she was expelled at the age of 11 for ‘musical insubordination’, which may be a foreshadow to some of her musical choices later in her career.
Tori’s incredibly talented and incredibly well-regarded in the music industry, having received five MTV VMA nominations and eight Grammy Award nominations along with numerous other award throughout her long music career. Part of the reason she’s earned so many awards is because she’s released an astounding 15 albums since the age of 17, making her one of the most prolific artists around.
