Gurgaon, India

For ever since I can remember, I have been the curious one. Asking arcane questions, not being satisfied with the stereotypical answers, and often hunting down my own answers.

This trait of mine helped me as a Business Analytics Manager in the Fintech space, questioning the status quo and looking at data to help me come up with a new hypothesis, building a #strategy, developing product features that others may not have thought of, spotting the patterns in case things weren't working out, and revisiting my original hypothesis to better my understanding.

My inquisitive and the desire to solve complex problems, is also what attracted me to the Fintech space, with the ever evolving and disruptive nuances coming in every other day, from both Competitors and the Regulator.

In my past life as a student at MDI Gurgaon, I learnt as much from books and professors, as I did from my peers, especially when trying to out-do each other at various corporate competitions. This also helped me build my acumen in decoding and distilling complex problem statements in a form understood by most. By putting them into stories.

My engineering days too were spent in trying to figure out how to optimize my assignments. In fact my codes were so simple, that it often freed up time for me build computer games, like the HANGMAN, TicTacToe and so on. So it was only logical that post my Engineering I chose to work as a Product Developer at Temenos, which builds banking products in its tech stack. Basis my enthusiasm, and my performance as I would like to believe, I was selected to build this revolutionary new product, which offered complete customization to banks off the shelf, called the Arrangement Architecture. I now realise this is what we call the Banking-as-an-Infrastructure product in the Fintech world.

My 50,000 ft view of my career would be to build fintech products and solutions, which are extremely intuitive, easy to use, minus all the jargon, closing the gap between the banked and under-served.

I would also like to enable and empower more women to consider making a career in the fintech space. Men too, but specially women, because both Finance and Technology have been the exclusive boys club. And I can feel the pangs of not being able to find a woman mentor. I had been lucky in my early days, and now would love to pass that favour forward.

If you have managed to survive through till here, then my humblest gratitude. And I would definitely like to connect with a like-minded professional. So do drop me a line, and I'd be happy to take that conversation forward.
